A name collision worth knowing about
Dev Dholera is a different village, in a different taluka
There is a village called Dev Dholera in Ahmedabad district, and it has nothing to do with the Dholera Special Investment Region. It sits in Bavla taluka, on the other side of the district, and it has its own pages in the same rate book. If you search a rate book or a revenue portal for Dholera, it will come back, and its numbers are not your numbers.
The question this page answersIs Dev Dholera the same place as Dholera SIR?
No. Dev Dholera is a revenue village of Bavla taluka and appears on pages 106 and 107 of the agricultural rate book. Dholera, the village the region is named after, is in Dhandhuka taluka on pages 494 to 497. They are separate villages, in separate talukas, with separate rates. Dev Dholera is not one of the 22 villages named in the 2009 notification, so no rate for it is published on this site.
Every rate here comes from one rate book, headed ASR - 2011 Final, which has been in force since 18 April 2011. These are 2011 figures. A revision was proposed later and then held back after objections, and we hold no government document for it, so we print no figure for it. Check the rate in force today with the Gujarat Revenue Department before you sign anything, and never read a 2011 figure as a 2026 market price.
Why we exclude it rather than publish it
It exists, it is in the same book, and it is not ours to publish.
This register only publishes rates for the villages inside the notified Dholera region and the taluka they were filed under. Dev Dholera is neither, so its rows were deliberately left out of the dataset rather than gathered and labelled carefully. Publishing them beside Dholera rates would create exactly the confusion this page exists to prevent, and somebody would eventually quote one for the other.
The dataset behind this site records the exclusion explicitly, so the decision is auditable rather than invisible. It is listed among the declared gaps on the method page, in the same list as everything else the sources do not cover.
How to tell which one you are looking at
Three checks, any one of which settles it.
Check the taluka first
Every entry in a Gujarat rate book or revenue record carries a taluka. If it says Bavla, you are looking at Dev Dholera. If it says Dhandhuka, you are looking at the Dholera the region is named after. If it says Dholera, you are looking at a document written after 2015, because the taluka of that name did not exist when this rate book was printed, which is a whole story of its own on the taluka correction page.
Check the page number
The agricultural volume runs to 1,431 pages and the talukas occupy fixed blocks. Bavla is pages 72 to 227. Dhandhuka is pages 445 to 629, and Dholera village is pages 494 to 497 inside it. A page number in the low hundreds is not a Dholera SIR page.
Check the census code
Each of the 22 notified villages carries its own 2011 census village code on its page here, and Dholera village's code identifies it uniquely inside Ahmedabad district. A code is harder to get wrong than a name.
